Since March, infectious isolation units and hospitals have been operating in Krasnoyarsk on the basis of hospitals, where medical care is provided to patients with the novel coronavirus infection. More than 300 students, along with the main staff of the city hospitals, have been providing care to patients with Covid-19.

The University's faculty members have also been involved in practical health care. Particularly, Associate Professor of the Department for Polyclinic Therapy and Family Medicine with a postgraduate course Darya Kaskayeva has headed the care for patients under observation in the sanatorium "Lesnoy". People who arrived from countries with a poor epidemiological situation were sent to the sanatorium for a 2-week medical observation in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
