On the very eve of the COVID-19 pandemic, the KrasSMU Department of Healthcare Management and Economics faculty members submitted their application for the European Union ERASMUS+ programme aimed at education development.

As a result of the selection among more than 100 applications, 12 projects were supported. The KrasSMU team, together with 22 partners from Greece, Romania, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and France, is now taking part in the LMQS project (Professionalization of Bachelor's and Master's Degrees for Strategic Risk Management and Quality of Services in Healthcare in the Framework of Online Education in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan). The period of the project implementation is 3 years. The total project budget is EUR 999 806.00.

The project involves updating the Master's programme in Healthcare Management, training for medical professionals in the field of quality and safety management in medicine, training for the teaching staff as well as purchasing literature and software.

Of particular interest is the possibility of obtaining a Double Master Degree in Healthcare Management through undertaking a double degree programme with KrasSMU partner universities from the European Union.

The participation of the University in this project is based on interdepartmental cooperation and close collaboration with the KrasSMU Centre for International Programmes.
